The Toyota RAV4 updated its infotainment system with a more modern one that is paired with a larger display screen. It is now equipped with an 8-inch display that is standard on the LE, XLE, XLE Premium, and Adventure trims. A larger 10.5-inch display is now standard on the Limited and TRD Off-Road models. The outgoing system is replaced by a more stylish and intuitive software interface that is also capable of over-the-air updates. Other technology features like wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ were also added to the RAV4, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is available on the XLE Premium and TRD Off-Road trims.
The SUV is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the RAV4, but all-wheel drive is available.
The RAV4 is a two-row SUV that can comfortably seat up to five passengers. It comes standard with cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats. Its cargo area can hold a maximum of 69.8 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded down, and 37.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats.
It’s also packed with safety and driver assistance features, such as automatic high-beam headlights, rearview camera, forward automatic emergency braking, and more.
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 is built in Canada, but the first RAV4 was built in Japan in 1994. The RAV4 first came to the U.S. in the late 1990s, and is in its fifth generation which kicked off in 2019 with a complete redesign. The 2019 RAV4 was equipped with a strong powertrain, updated styling for the interior and exterior, larger touchscreen, and more standard features.
