What’s New In the 2023 Toyota Corolla?

The 2023 Toyota Corolla features several updates across the trim line. For starters, the base L trim, Apex, and Nightshade have been removed and the hybrid model now includes two additional trim levels – the SE and the XLE. All-wheel drive is now available for the Hybrid SE and LE trims. The standard powertrain bumps up from a 139-horsepower 1.8-liter engine to a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter engine. Inside, the Corolla gets a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is standard on all models. The standard model upgrades to a 4.2-inch gauge cluster and the XSE trim and above get a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. The stylish Corolla also gets a few exterior updates that include new LED daytime driving lights and redesigned headlights on the SE and above. Other exterior changes include 18-inch Gloss Graphite wheels on the SE and XSE models. The Hatchback model gets a redesigned grille, LED headlights, and chrome accents on the rear bumper.
