The 2024 Toyota Tundra comes with two four-door cabs to choose from. There’s a shorter Double Cab and a longer Crew Max. The 2024 Nissan Titan also offers a similar choice of two four-door cabs. The 2024 Toyota Tundra offers a choice of cargo bed lengths, as does the 2024 Nissan Titan. However, the 2024 Tundra’s largest cab can be paired with a more capacious 6.5-foot cargo bed or a shorter 5.5-foot unit. Meanwhile, the largest 2024 Nissan Titan comes with a 5.5-foot cargo bed only. Meanwhile, some trims include a storage compartment beneath the rear seat, as well as center console storage. The 2024 Titan has some of these features but not all of them.
Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard across the 2024 Tundra range. Lower trims of either truck have an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. All other trims have 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Some trims are rear-wheel drive, while others are exclusively four-wheel drive. There are some TRD trims that offer exceptional off-road capabilities as well. These feature all-terrain tires, Bilstein or FOX Racing suspension, extra underbody protection, and a rear locker.
Toyota also offers the 2024 Tundra with its i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain. This uses the same 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 but adds an electric motor between the engine and its 10-speed gearbox. Hence, the i-FORCE MAX can provide up to 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.
The 2024 Nissan Titan is only available with a 5.6-liter naturally aspirated V8. The engine produces 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but buyers can choose four-wheel drive. There’s also a Pro-4X trim that adds off-road optimized suspension and all-terrain tires.
Toyota rates the 2024 Tundra range as being able to tow up to 12,000 pounds. Its payload capacity is 1,940 pounds. Meanwhile, the 2024 Nissan Titan can only tow up to 9,660 pounds, with a payload capacity of 1,600 pounds. These figures are trim and powertrain-specific.
The 2024 Tundra has Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.5 suite on all trims. Hence, it has automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance, which are standard. Higher trims add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and trailer detection. The 2024 Titan doesn’t have many of these features as standard. Most are optional or not available.
