The base trim, the Camry LE, sets the stage for what’s to come in the 2021 Toyota Camry. This trim alone, though, has plenty to offer drivers like yourself.
First, it comes with a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine. Churning out 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, it’s great for the daily commutes to work or to run errands.
There’s tons of passenger and cargo room, too, as shown by the following interior dimensions…
- Front/rear legroom: 42.1 inches/38 inches
- Passenger volume: 100.4 cubic feet
- Trunk space: 15.1 cubic feet
With numbers like these, you’ll have the room you need to fit friends and family, as well as their belongings.
You’ll also find an advanced Audio infotainment system. It comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Plug your phone into the car’s USB port and watch as your apps appear on the 7-inch touchscreen display. Plus, your music, phone, and other options will come through clearly on the 6-speaker sound system.
You then have the SE and SE Nightshade trims for the Camry. While their specs and dimensions match the base trim level, it’s the exterior design that makes them stand out from the pack.
They both come decked out with a black front grille with sport mesh insert and color-keyed sport side rocker panels. However, the SE Nightshade Edition lives up to its name with black-painted outside door handles and 18-inch black-painted alloy wheels.
Inside, these vehicles have sport SofTex®-trimmed front seats with 8-way power adjustability for the driver and 6-way adjustability for the front passenger. These adjustable seats ensure you both remain relaxed throughout the entire ride.
Toyota Camry XLE & XLE V6
The 2021 Camry XLE and XLE V6 trims are similar in their offerings, but their performance specs differ.
The XLE trim comes with the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine mentioned above. However, the XLE V6 trim comes with a 3.5L V6 engine. This motor churns out 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque for when you’re craving extra oomph on the road.
Both trims, though, do give a boost in interior features. For example, you’ll now find dual zone automatic climate control as a standard system. This feature comes in handy when you and your co-pilot don’t agree on the cabin temperature. Adjust the individual controls on both sides, so you can each remain comfy at all times.
The 2021 Toyota Camry XSE and XSE V6 trims are akin to the XLE and XLE V6 trims in their performance specs. This includes an all-wheel drive (AWD) system that’s available with the 4-cylinder engine. With AWD, you can feel confident driving on even the slickest surfaces.
These trims also come with a Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging pad. You can leave your charger at home and stick the phone onto the pad directly. It’ll be at 100% by the time you arrive at your destination.
However, each trim does differ in their multimedia system offerings…
- XSE: Audio Plus
- XSE V6: Audio Plus with JBL®
The latter comes with a 9-speaker sound system with subwoofer and amplifier—it’ll sound like a rock concert inside your cabin.
The last standard Toyota Camry trim is the TRD trim. Inside, you’ll find sport SofTex®-trimmed front seats. They come with red stitching and fabric inserts, along with a red-stitched TRD headrest logo—making you feel like you’re in your own personal race car.
Like all the previously mentioned trim levels, Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+ (TSS 2.5+) comes standard in this trim. This suite of driver-assisting technologies is designed to warn you if an accident could occur. In addition to warnings, certain features can even step in to act if needed.
With features like Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) and Automatic High Beams (AHB), you can have great peace of mind driving around in the Camry TRD trim.
Toyota Camry Hybrid Trims
The 2021 Camry is also available in four hybrid versions:
- LE Hybrid
- SE Hybrid
- XLE Hybrid
- XSE Hybrid
Each one comes with a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to an electric motor. Together, they produce a hybrid system combined net horsepower of 208, providing the muscle you need for your everyday travels.
These trims give you a high level of efficiency too. With up to an EPA-estimated 51 city/53 highway MPG, you can take even the longest of road trips without needing to stop for fuel.*
